BAMC does the SF AIDS Walk

Today was the day we were all waiting for: AIDS Walk! When BAMC walked into Golden Gate Park all dressed up with our beautiful capes (you heard me, we had CAPES!) and new swag (AIDS Walk t-shirts) we couldn’t keep the smiles off our faces! The entire experience was awesome as you can imagine; there were over 25,000 people at the walk! We all lined up at the start and began out strangely short-seeming 6.2 mile walk. With music blasting from at least 4 different sources, BAMC used our beautiful singing voices to sing (or scream!) along to all of the music. People were so entertained by us that we even got recorded a couple of times!

As the walk went on, the energy and excitement of everyone didn’t stop and we finally powered through the finish line and proudly took our stickers that said, “I completed 10 kilometers!” We were proud to be there with basically a bazillion other people fighting AIDS together! As a team of 17 wonderful people, we raised over $4,600! We contributed to the grand total raised of $3,011,245! Very excited to still be at the AIDS Walk, we finished our day strong my helping clean up the site; we moved a LOT of chairs!

I definitely think that today was one of the most exciting days of all at BAMC (and that totally means something, coming from me who is excited about EVERYTHING)! Our BAMC family had the homor of walking for an awesome cause and getting some good old fashioned exercise!

YAY FOR AIDS WALK!

Lots of love from SanFran!
