Words from abroad: Costa Rica teens are changing the world!
The Mitzvah Corps Costa Rica teens have been working incredibly hard over the past week! Our days in Yorkin working with the Bribri were both challenging yet wonderfully rewarding. The people of the village were so welcoming to us, and Matt (our guide) pointed out that he thought they had bonded more to our group than any other group in the past!
Here we come, Costa Rica!
Ticos (the slang word for Costa Ricans) are some of the warmest, most loving people I’ve ever met and I know we’ll be welcomed by all our hosts with open arms. Get ready to eat gallo pinto for breakfast, get up close and personal with the Jewish population of CR, and learn all about the wonders of the most beautiful country in the world!
